As soon as i updated the IOS though, the gevey no longer worked and i was stuck with a brick for over two years! I didn't even know what the original telecom network was. I Google'd unlock sites and found Official iPhone Unlock which seemed to tick all of the boxes........and it was so easy!! I just sent the imei number to them, they came back with a quote and a time frame for the unlock and that was it. Paid the guys (£45) waited the 2 days, then they sent an email telling me to just sign in to iTunes - result, one unlocked phone which I can now use on any provider.
