I originally asked some chap in a hut who does these things to unlock the phone. He quoted me a price of £40 and said it would take 2 weeks. I went back and he said there was a problem with the server??! and it couldn't be done. So I thought I would just google it and see if I could do it myself. I wish I had done this first and saved the time/money. Submitted IMEI on Saturday and got an email the next day to say the unlock was completed (iphone 4s on 3). You have o hook up to itunes on your computer to compete the unlock - which maybe could have been made clearer on the email - but if i can work that out any idiot can. Excellent service.

When I put my imeI number in it said unlock today I checked my email the next morning it was there in black and white your iPhone is unlocked I put the sim in connected to iTunes within 30 seconds EE came up on the screen and I was connected . I have tried to unlock a Nokia with another company before waited 10 days and nothing and then three weeks to get a refund so I am really impressed this time many thanks

When initially browsing the web for companies to unlock an iPhone brought abroad I was really skeptical, would anyone really unlock a phone legally and hold their end of the bargain?
I googled and found officialiphoneunlock and gave them a ring, the thinking being that i'd be able to tell to some extent how legit and professional they are. After a few days (and a discount via email) I took the plunge, and wahey! a day and a half later my Bell Canada iPhone 5 was unlocked and i'm pretty impressed.
I can't comment on other users experiences but mine was fantastic, the guy on the phone politely dealt with me, told me that sometimes it does take longer than the typical times displayed on the site, but they do try to keep to their promises. As far as I can see, my phone is perfectly unlocked, worked as soon as my 3 UK sim went in.
Suggestions would be the following; More explanation that lead times aren't guaranteed, explain if and why refunds are/are not granted.

Very fast service, although said would be 5-10 days, email back in 6hours. Instructions very simple and clear, no need to back up or restore info on phone, once connected to iTunes , all done automatically. Would recommend to others for a full authorised unlock.

I am not so confident about the services available over internet and i was kinda reluctant before placing the order. It was mentioned that the service may take 5-10 working days. It was for a UK 3 network though. But officialiphoneunlock.co.uk did their job much before time. They did it in 2 days including 1 weekend. I am happy with their before-sale and after-sale service. I would probably go for my a 2nd unlock for my phone soon and I will refer this company to my friends for their unlocking services too.

It was my second successful unlocking with officialiphoneunlock. One thing to be noted : Those people who complain about their services should read the frequently asked questions and their refund policy before buying the unlock. You should be completely aware that to which network your phone is locked to. It was a really nice experience. For both my Iphone 4S ( was locked to 3 UK) it took just one day to unlock. On the 3 web site there is a form to fill in to unlock out of contract phones, They just turn you down and say to ring them.Waste of time. Went to local phone shops they have all quoted sky high prices for unlocking and even unreasonable time frames like 2 weeks. In the end all it really took with official iphone unlock was only 1 and a half day and with no hassle. Recommended! (I'm on 3 UK, currently in Malaysia.)

My son gave me his iphone 4S which was locked to Three in the UK, but I was going back to live in Canada, so I needed it open to use a Telus SIM.
I started a Google search, and officialphoneunlock.co.uk came to the top of the search list. Their web site was impressive and eye catching.
I checked the details of the company and how the UNLOCK would be done, it seemed quite easy, and the price reasonable, so I put my order in on Saturday morning and the phone was all unlocked and good to go on Monday.. (they state that weekends are excluded).

I purchased a used iPhone online, it was advertised as on Orange, when I tried it it didn't work, so I visited OfficialiPhoneUnlock to first find out what it was locked to, then have them unlock the iPhone. After just a couple of days, an email came to my inbox stating that my iPhone was factory unlocked, All I then had to do was connect the iTunes and a simple reset and it worked.
I would recommend this service, and use it again.

My phone was locked to the 3 network but I soon discovered that the network coverage in my area was very poor/non-existent. I wanted to have the phone unlocked so that I could use the Vodafone SIM card from my previous phone. After a minor snag (because my MacBook didn't support iTunes 11 and my phone was running iOS7) which was resolved with the help of the support team, everything worked smoothly. I was very pleased with the service and would use it again should the need arise.

I was stuck in Shanghai with an Apple replacement "unlocked" phone or so I thought. After many frustrating hours with Lebara and Apple I sought an alternative and found Official Phone Unlock on Google.
Firstly I bought the check service and found the phone was locked dispute numerous claims to the contrary from Apple chat on line.

They delivered exactly what they promised and ahead of schedule. Very easy to deal with and the comms were top notch. My only quibble is that £60 for unlocking an IPhone 4 is rather excessive in my view and they really ought to think about making these prices a bit more accessible to all especially kids.
Is is for that reason, and that reason only, they are not getting five stars otherwise it would have been 5 star***.

Iphone locked to 3 UK, i got several opinions about 3UK all were negative that 3UK not giving unlocking provisions at all. Later i tried through officialiphoneunlock.uk, which was huge risk coz i paid amount in advance.
I was not sure whether i will get succeeded or not. After order, their timeline was 7 working days, to get it unlocked. I waited till 19th working day, lost all my patience, was waiting to put my complaint wherever possible. But got mail from them on 20th day saying 'your i phone is now unlocked' !!!!

I'm from Mauritius and got an iPhone 4s locked on 3 UK, try some company here in Mauritius for unlocking but they were charging too much... Then I've try to unlock it with these guys.... These guys have a good service and a reasonable turnaround on email support. Looks like my phone provider (3 Sweden) was the worst of the lot! They have the costliest of all unlocks and still the unlocking did over 2 weeks. Nevertheless officialiphoneunlock.co.uk did come through in the end and my phone is unlocked!

Tras 1 mes pagada la liberacion de mi Iphone de la compañia Three de UK, me han mandado un email donde me decia, tu iphone ha sido desbloqueado, automaticamente lo he enchufado a Itunes, y vuala, mi iphone liberado, en 20 dias mas o menos, perdí todas las esperanzas, y mira,..

The process for me took close to thirteen working days so its not particularly fast, this was an Iphone unlock from three UK and I'm led to believe that this is often the case when unlocking a three handset. Once the email arrived the phone was connected to iTunes and all is now good! I would have appreciated being kept informed about the delay but no such communication took place but otherwise I'm very pleased.
